CHILD OF LIGHT – BECOMING A WORK OF ART

Meet Coeur de Pirate, the amazing songstress behind the music of Child of Light. In the second episode Making Of episode we explore the breathtaking music and foley work in the game, in addition to the partnership between Ubisoft Montreal and Cirque du Soleil to bring even more life and magic to the kingdom of Lemuria.

Ubisoft’s collaboration with Cirque du Soleil brought another layer of artistic design to the alreadybeautiful game. The team at Ubisoft Montreal was able to draw upon years of theatrical experience in order to better realize their vision of a fantastical fairy tale world.
“Videogames invite players to be immersed in virtual worlds and no one is better to create immersive and magical experiences than the artists of the Cirque du Soleil,” said Creative DirectorPatrick Plourde. “So to be able to collaborate with them to achieve Child of Light’s ambition to create a playable poem was a dream come true.”
Child of Light will be available to download on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U for $14.99 on April 30, 2014. Fans who pre-order on the PS3 and PS4 will receive the Golem Pack, which includes a new mission and ally for Aurora’s party, plus a pack of Rough Occuli and the unique Erin’s stone. If you pre-order on the PC you’ll get the Light Aurora pack. This will get you a new dress for Aurora and a pack of Rough Occuli, as well as the ability to heal.
