Warner Bros. comments on ‘Batman vs. Superman’ and ‘Captain America’ showdown

A few weeks ago it was reported that Batman vs. Superman and Captain America3 would both be opening on May 6th, 2016. The Captain America cast even fired the first shots and trash talked Batman/Superman at a press conference last month.
Now it looks like we have ourselves an old fashioned game of chicken! Marvel’s president has stated that they’re not moving from that date and now Warner Bros. is saying the same. Here’s what Dan Fellman, president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros., told Bloomberg in an interview earlier today:
It doesn’t make a lot of sense for two huge superhero films to open on the same date but there is a lot of time between now and 5/6/16. However at this time, we are not considering a change of date for ‘Batman vs. Superman.’
A lot of people in the movie industry think that one of the two companies will end up moving their movie. As the Warner Bros. president said, there’s a lot of time between now and May 2016. Whether or not the Batman vs. Superman release date gets changed for a second time remains to be seen… but stay tuned toBatman News for all the latest!
